This is probably the first time I've tried taking the pictures of flowers. The gear used to these photographs is pretty much what all i own - Nikon D40, and its kit lens 18-55mm. This shoot took some 15mins and a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Just clicked through from your article on DPS which I thought was inspiring. I have a D40 too so great to see how creative you are being with yours.
